Joy Ride was another funny read. I enjoyed the storyline of "enemies" to lovers. I loved Max and Henley's bickering and arguing and the game they play. Max is a great guy and I really liked being in his head. He has a bit of a soft side underneath his "big, brutish, bearish" side. Henley isn't as likable as Max, but she's still a good character. I like that she has her mechanic side as well as her girlie side. She's very strong and determined even when she's outnumbered in her field. All the Summer siblings together is a hoot as well.

What a Joy Ride this was!!!

Max Summers and Henley Marlowe have worked together previously. They have total respect for one another and both have a passion for cars and life. But, Henley works for Max’s competitor. The author takes you on a saucy story of these two admirable people. I highly recommend this and all books by Lauren Blakely.

Sexy to sizzling in 3.5 seconds!

I have always loved a good Lauren Blakey book, but I was so pleasantly surprised with Joy Ride. As a wife of a mechanic this book was perfection to read and the having it from the male POV was great and completely believable. The banter between characters was hilarious, the auto references were on point, and the romance scenes take you from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Excellent book!

Joy Ride was one heck of a ride. 

Max and Henley, have a past. One that could not be easily forgotten. But it’s been years since they’ve seen each other. And the moment he sees her again. The world shifts, and he’s brought back into her world  What can I say? other than that I loved their story. They're both very hilarious together. They are both smart and confident. Henley is no weakling, she can’t be. In a profession that's mainly run by the male species.  I have to say that Lauren, is the Queen of Romantic Comedies. She has a way making it funny, emotional, and having sexual tension that just radiates off the pages. You become invested in these characters and you love what happens to them in the end.  I get excited whenever I know she’s having a new release. I know that, by now that I will absolutely love it and that it will not take very long to read. The writing style just catches you and never lets you go.  Overall, Of course, it’s Five Boundless Stars.

Joy Ride. . . What a ride!

I am a huge fan of Lauren's and "Joy Ride" is no exception. I have been a fan of Max's but am so glad to read his story. Not wanting to give away any spoilers, I thoroughly enjoyed the tension between Max and Henley. Glad to see Mia, Chase and Josie, Wyatt and Natalie, Nick and Harper and Spencer and Charlotte. Can't wait to hear more from Patrick! Looking forward to the many pre-orders yet to come! Thank you, Lauren.

Joy Ride

Lauren Blakey has done it again. Made me fall for Max, laugh out loud in parts and still have some really hot love scenes. These two people are so gone for each other and yet it takes them years to get together. Neither one had been in love before so it is really a journey they go through. Also love how Lauren weaves characters from her other books into this story. It's like visiting old friends. You will also go crazy for the cars too. I hate when these stories end!

A Review of Joy Ride by Lauren Blakely Definitely my kind of guilty pleasure - 5+++++ stars If you've read any of Ms. Blakely's other books, you will see several characters from other books, which I just LOVE. Max is the older brother of Chase, from Chase and Josie's story and they have a sister, Mia. Chase alluded to 'the one that got away' from Max so I was really happy to see him finally get his own story so we could learn more about him and his lady. As this book opens, Max is at a car show with one of his clients when a possible new client approaches him about his work. Henley happens to pop up in the middle of their conversation and Max learns that she is back in New York working for his major competitor. She worked as an apprentice for Max five years ago, but a mistake led to a reprimand, which led to an unfair accusation, which led to Max firing her. Can they finally admit to themselves that there was something between them back then? Henley wants to be respected in their field, which is mostly male oriented. She got her degree and has worked her butt off to make it to the top of her field. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and all the wonderful 'feels' that Ms. Blakely brings out in her characters. I'd love to have my own grease monkey if he looked like that! Can hardly wait to see who the next character to get a story will be. Max is a master builder of custom cars who, once upon a time, taught Henley Rose Marlowe everything he knew. She was a great apprentice until he fired her. Now they are brought together to work on a big project. Blakely delivers a fresh, flirty, funny enemies-to-lovers story, in her unique style. Thoroughly enjoyable, sexy, light entertainment with relatable characters—that’s what Blakely does so well. I highly recommend this book.

This enemies to lovers romance is the exact reason why I love reading this kind of story! Max and Henley are both strong, intelligent, and ambitious. They are both extremely talented at building custom cars but for different companies. When they are surprisingly offered the chance of a lifetime to build a car together, they can't turn it down. Max and Henley have a contentious history. They were both unprepared for their mutual attraction when they worked together years ago. Now they are older, wiser, more confident and their attraction and chemistry is hotter than ever. But can you sleep with the enemy and not risk your business or your heart? I loved everything about this story. It’s not full of angsty drama, but more about finding that common ground and claiming love. It’s loaded with sexual tension, smoking hot passion, and witty banter. Ms Blakely creates wonderfully refreshing, multifaceted stories about real people who are interesting, socially conscious and face life head-on. There were so many laugh out loud moments but many sweet and heartwarming moments as well, not to mention their fiery passion! This is told from Max's pov but I love getting a glimpse of Henley's thoughts through her to-do list at the end of each chapter, they were brillant! Their family and friends all make appearances adding to the fun and setting the stage for upcoming stories that I can't wait to read! This book is the perfect combination of everything I crave in a story. It’s sweet, romantic, steamy, sexy, heartwarming, and witty all rolled into one wild Joy Ride! Sexy Shenanigans

Lauren Blakely has been a must-buy author for me since I took a chance on her very first book and her latest, Joy Ride, is a joy to read. It's a rom/com that's as thrilling as driving a new set of wheels off the car lot when all that passionate hate between former colleagues turns into the sexy banter and feisty flirtation that Lauren is already famous for. My favorite X-rated scene comes to a sudden and delicious climax with an O on the hood of a fabulous custom car. Now that's what I call a Joy Ride! The oh-so-sexy shenanigans between Lauren's newest couple is as entertaining as an adorable monkey's uncle and I really enjoyed the unexpected, but much appreciated, cameos by characters from some of her most successful romantic comedies. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Smoking hot, with an over-abundance of sexual tension and sexy cars, Joy Ride is your enticing ticket to the fast lane! Max and Henley have a very unique and complicated relationship. Once Max's apprentice, Henley has now become his competition, in more ways than one. And when a once-in-a-lifetime job is presented to both of them, they have to set aside any hostility towards one another, and their raging libidos, to find a way to make working together possible. First off, let me just say that I LOVE Lauren's male-POV stories! I don't know how she does it, but she captures her reader's attention from page one, and takes them on an epic journey through the man's mind. My guess would be she knows sorcery...but hey *shrugs* I've been known to be wrong a time or two. Max....oh Max, Max, Max....you devilishly sexy grease monkey.! He is the ultimate man's man. Tough, rugged, with so much sex appeal I'm surprised he doesn't get bombarded with tons of fan mail containing women's underwear. HAVE MERCY, what that man can do with his "tools"! But the character that really stole the show for me was Henley. Her spit-fire personality and confidence, along with her quirky fashion sense, really set her apart from Lauren's previous female characters. I can totally see many women having girl-crushes on her, *cough* like me *cough*. Hey, the heart wants what the heart wants. The undeniable chemistry between Max and Henley just radiates off the pages. Both are stubborn, both are strong-willed and competitive, and both have lost their hearts completely to the other even though they don't realize it yet. And the passion they share is completely erotic and heart-poundingly delicious - not so much sweet, but oh so savory! Warning: get a fire extinguisher ready, 'cause you're gonna need it! A revving story!

Ooh the blurb of this book had reeled me in. Enemies to lovers stories are always fun and exciting so I couldn’t wait to dive in. Of course in true Lauren style, this was funny, sexy, and sweet. Max is the best mechanic and ride dresser in NYC. Henley used to be his apprentice but a job went wrong and Max had to fire her. Now years later, they ran into each other again. When they have to work side by side, how will these two fare? Oh my reading Max’s POV was hilarious. I couldn’t get enough of his thoughts. And the little snippets of Henley’s was also great. These two always had a thing for each other back in the day so in the present their interactions made for some interesting and fun times. I liked how Lauren built up the progression of their relationship. It was perfect for their story and the anticipation was fantastic. When these two finally got together, whew was it hot! All the years of suppressing their feelings came to a head and their intensity and over-the-top attraction was explosive. I loved the interactions and banter whenever they were together. I really enjoyed seeing how they affected each other and where things would go. It was a nice slow progression of everything and by the end, it was just magnificent. What I also love about a Lauren book is the appearances of her other characters and it was great to see the others in the series in Joy Ride. Overall, this was a great read. It was pleasant, fun, and scorching. It had amazing characters and a fantastic storyline. Lauren always has the best reads for me and this was no exception. A wonderful story.

Amazing characters, witty and sexy banter, car themed innuendos and a monkey what more can you ask for? I had so much fun reading this book. I laughed. I swooned. I developed major crushes on both characters. You know, the typical reaction to a Blakely book. Gah! I am simply amazed how Lauren Blakely can rock our world time and time again. I am so addicted to her books!! Max Summers, the king of custom cars, partaker of one night stands, enjoyer of baths, is dedicated to being the best at what he does and doesn’t want anything to distract him. When his former apprentice - the smart, gorgeous, sassy Henley Marlowe - returns, Max discovers she has taken all her talents and fire to his biggest rival and is now competing for the same clients. An incredible opportunity arises when the producers of a new television show want to commission a customized Lamborghini Miura. The only thing is they want Max and Henley both to work on it. Forced to work together, their undeniable attraction towards each other is too hard to ignore. Their verbal sparing leading to some of the hottest moments ever! Oh my God! The sexy times in this book are fan yourself hot!! Their sexual chemistry is spectacularly sizzling!! These characters are everything!! The poor guy, he tried to fight his attraction to Henley but his urge to have her was too strong. These two worked so well together, professionally and outside of work. *sigh* I heart them. I can not state this enough. I love love love these male POV books by Lauren Blakely. LOVE!! Lauren Blakely should have been a man! I LOVE her male POV books so hard and Joy Ride is certainly no different. I love a great muscle car and this book made me drool over the cars as much as I did Max. Max and Henley positively sizzle. Great characters, great read. Holy Hotness!! One of my favorite tropes is enemies to Lovers and Lauren really got my heart pumping with this one! Max is vying for the top spot in my heart right now, he may just be one of my favorite Blakely men! Sexy Car builder, intense fiery passion, hot hate/angry sex on the hood of a sleek and sexy sports car? Check. Check. And CHECK! Henley used to be Max's apprentice several years ago in his shop, she was hot headed but good. Max admired the way she handled herself in a 'mans field' restoring cars to their finest. She had fire, drive and that's what attracted her to him. He was attracted t her from the first day he met her, but would never cross that line since he was her boss, it was his job to teach her. She got under his skin, even then. Until she made a mistake and he fired her. Now, five years later, she's back in town. ***Henley Rose and a hot car go together like peaches and cream, like fine Scotch and a long, dirty night. Which means working with her was like walking into the Garden of Eden every single day. It was a test of willpower because the woman could craft a car as if it were an erotic dance. Not a striptease. Not an in-your-face pelvis thrust. But a beautiful f**king ballet of a woman seducing a machine. The story was so well written that I was glued to the pages, anticipating that blissful moment when all that heat, all that rage, all that wanting finally exploded and they gave into their attraction to each other. Definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves fast cars, sexy men and HOT sexy times! Blakey writes men's POV like no other and I bet you'll fall in love with Max and Henley just like I did!

It's no secret that I am a HUGE Lauren Blakely fan. I mean H-U-G-E! Anything this woman writes, I jump at the chance to read. Her heroes are swoon-worthy, her heroines are adorable and the stories are always sexy and beautiful. I've been addicted to her most recent rom-coms because they have just the right combination of heat and swoon alongside perfectly balanced, laugh-out-loud moments that are thoroughly entertaining. Joy Ride, Blakely's newest standalone within her male POV series gives readers everything they expect and then some. Max Summers is sexy, successful, great with his hands, has a rockin' body and has a filthy, filthy mouth. In other words, he is completely delectable and one hot, perfect male specimen! Then there's Henley Rose Marlowe, aka "Tiger". She is most definitely the yin to his yang. She's sexy, beautiful, funny, great with her hands, successful, quirky and isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Max. Their witty banter is thoroughly entertaining and will leave readers in stitches. What happens when these former co-workers and enemies are forced to work together again? Fireworks.....an intensely glorious display of fireworks that, once ignited, is unstoppable! These two are hotter than Hades when they finally get together! Get your fans ready ladies because these two could spark an inferno! Sexiness aside (Is that even possible? No? I am a classic car girl (not as much as Henley) who loves the thrill of the hunt when restoring a classic car. Meet Henley Rose Marlowe, aka Tiger. She is a fiery sparkplug trying to make her way in a car world predominantly male dominated world (aren’t we all ladies). She is intelligent, independent, goes above and beyond to ensure her customers are getting everything they want. Her need to be treated like one of the guys is a theme we here throughout this book. She doesn’t want special treatment and wants to make her own stamp in the car world. Now for Max Summers, top car builder in New York. Built to handle the toughest cars while being able to deliver the best fuel injections, stick shifts and combustion known to any woman, oops I mean customer. He is the owner of his own shop and fights to stay on top…….. Henley was Max’s apprentice 5 years ago when she shows up at a car show where she runs into Max. These two have explosive chemistry from the moment they met. The sexual banter back and forth had this reader needing to keep her fan on high to keep from overheating. Honestly if I could reach into the pages I would have b**ch slapped them both. They spent more time trying keep their emotions in check and not getting involved. Anyway, I’m not going to give anymore away. Hot cars, sexy as sin man and one fiery brunette is what you are going to get in this book. This is a love story through and through. I highly recommend this book it was fun, witty with some secrets. There isn’t a lot of drama which was refreshing and allowed me to just read and enjoy. I didn’t need my brain to work through all the scenarios. PLEASE READ!!!! This is one of my favorites.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Lauren Blakely has done it again. She has crafted a book so fun, so flirty, so sexy, and so absolutely perfect that it I *had* to devour it in just one sitting. Buckle up tight, readers, and prepare to go on one hell of an amazing ride with Max and Henley. Max, oh my Max. He is such a deliciously sexy hero. There is a little extra fierceness to him that I really, truly enjoyed. I loved watching him fight his attraction to Henley so hard-only to lose the battle so spectacularly. He's intensely passionate about his work and about his life in general. He works hard, he plays hard and watching him try to balance that with having feelings for Henley had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing this "guy's guy" maneuver his way through the twists and turns of falling in love? Priceless. Henley Rose is positively perfect. She's tough, yet sweet. Strong, but vulnerable at the same time. I appreciated how she hustled to make her own name for herself in a business that is clearly male dominated. I loved that she could go toe to toe with Max and hold her own-I love seeing strong female characters and nobody writes strong and sweet heroines like this author can. The way we get to see what Henley is thinking is unique and fun as well. The tension between Max and Henley had been idling for years while they were apart, humming below the surface, just waiting for one of them to finally hit the gas and go for it. Their playful banter, their game of innuendo had me torn between wanting them to finally be together and drawing out the tension even more. I must say that their first kiss was quite possibly the hottest, sexiest first kiss I've read....and the rest of their sexy times live up to that first kiss. The pace of this book is perfect. The writing is sharp, witty and at times perfectly dirty. There was a really fun twist in this book that had me laughing as well-but I'll let you figure that out when you read it. However, what this author does so incredibly well here (and in all of her books) is showcase the realness of a relationship. It's not all sex, all the time-not even in the honeymoon stage of the relationship. It's taking the time to take care of the person you love-whether that means spending time soaking in a claw foot tub or taking dance lessons together. It's making mistakes and learning from them and choosing to move past things instead of dwelling on them. This is a standalone book but it does have moments where other characters from previous books make an appearance. I personally love, love, love when the author does this. (You definitely don't need to have read the other books to understand who these characters are or anything...but I do recommend them all) Seeing Chase and Josie again made perfect sense since Chase is Max's brother but I was delighted to see other favorites as well-Nick, Harper, Natalie, Wyatt and Charlotte and Spencer. I couldn't have wiped the smile off my face when they reappeared if I wanted to-and I really, really didn't want to. This also gives us an opportunity to meet some future feature characters as well which is great. Joy Ride is an absolutely perfectly crafted book. Max Summers and Henley Rose are royalty in the custom car business but it's Lauren Blakely who is the Queen of hot, sexy, funny and flirty writers. Joy Ride was another funny read. I enjoyed the storyline of "enemies" to lovers. I loved Max and Henley's bickering and arguing and the game they play. Max is a great guy and I really liked being in his head. He has a bit of a soft side underneath his "big, brutish, bearish" side. Henley isn't as likable as Max, but she's still a good character. I like that she has her mechanic side as well as her girlie side. She's very strong and determined even when she's outnumbered in her field. All the Summer siblings together is a hoot as well.

What a Joy Ride this was!!!

Max Summers and Henley Marlowe have worked together previously. They have total respect for one another and both have a passion for cars and life. But, Henley works for Max’s competitor. The author takes you on a saucy story of these two admirable people. I highly recommend this and all books by Lauren Blakely.

Sexy to sizzling in 3.5 seconds!

I have always loved a good Lauren Blakey book, but I was so pleasantly surprised with Joy Ride. As a wife of a mechanic this book was perfection to read and the having it from the male POV was great and completely believable. The banter between characters was hilarious, the auto references were on point, and the romance scenes take you from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Excellent book!

Joy Ride was one heck of a ride. 

Max and Henley, have a past. One that could not be easily forgotten. But it’s been years since they’ve seen each other. And the moment he sees her again. The world shifts, and he’s brought back into her world  What can I say? other than that I loved their story. They're both very hilarious together. They are both smart and confident. Henley is no weakling, she can’t be. In a profession that's mainly run by the male species.  I have to say that Lauren, is the Queen of Romantic Comedies. She has a way making it funny, emotional, and having sexual tension that just radiates off the pages. You become invested in these characters and you love what happens to them in the end.  I get excited whenever I know she’s having a new release. I know that, by now that I will absolutely love it and that it will not take very long to read. The writing style just catches you and never lets you go.  Overall, Of course, it’s Five Boundless Stars.

Joy Ride. . . What a ride!

I am a huge fan of Lauren's and "Joy Ride" is no exception. I have been a fan of Max's but am so glad to read his story. Not wanting to give away any spoilers, I thoroughly enjoyed the tension between Max and Henley. Glad to see Mia, Chase and Josie, Wyatt and Natalie, Nick and Harper and Spencer and Charlotte. Can't wait to hear more from Patrick! Looking forward to the many pre-orders yet to come! Thank you, Lauren.

Joy Ride

Lauren Blakey has done it again. Made me fall for Max, laugh out loud in parts and still have some really hot love scenes. These two people are so gone for each other and yet it takes them years to get together. Neither one had been in love before so it is really a journey they go through. Also love how Lauren weaves characters from her other books into this story. It's like visiting old friends. You will also go crazy for the cars too. I hate when these stories end!

A Review of Joy Ride by Lauren Blakely Definitely my kind of guilty pleasure - 5+++++ stars If you've read any of Ms. Blakely's other books, you will see several characters from other books, which I just LOVE. Max is the older brother of Chase, from Chase and Josie's story and they have a sister, Mia. Chase alluded to 'the one that got away' from Max so I was really happy to see him finally get his own story so we could learn more about him and his lady. As this book opens, Max is at a car show with one of his clients when a possible new client approaches him about his work. Henley happens to pop up in the middle of their conversation and Max learns that she is back in New York working for his major competitor. She worked as an apprentice for Max five years ago, but a mistake led to a reprimand, which led to an unfair accusation, which led to Max firing her. Can they finally admit to themselves that there was something between them back then? Henley wants to be respected in their field, which is mostly male oriented. She got her degree and has worked her butt off to make it to the top of her field. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and all the wonderful 'feels' that Ms. Blakely brings out in her characters. I'd love to have my own grease monkey if he looked like that! Can hardly wait to see who the next character to get a story will be. Now they are brought together to work on a big project. Blakely delivers a fresh, flirty, funny enemies-to-lovers story, in her unique style. Thoroughly enjoyable, sexy, light entertainment with relatable characters—that’s what Blakely does so well. I highly recommend this book.

This enemies to lovers romance is the exact reason why I love reading this kind of story! Max and Henley are both strong, intelligent, and ambitious. They are both extremely talented at building custom cars but for different companies. When they are surprisingly offered the chance of a lifetime to build a car together, they can't turn it down. Max and Henley have a contentious history. They were both unprepared for their mutual attraction when they worked together years ago. Now they are older, wiser, more confident and their attraction and chemistry is hotter than ever. But can you sleep with the enemy and not risk your business or your heart? I loved everything about this story. It’s not full of angsty drama, but more about finding that common ground and claiming love. It’s loaded with sexual tension, smoking hot passion, and witty banter. Ms Blakely creates wonderfully refreshing, multifaceted stories about real people who are interesting, socially conscious and face life head-on. There were so many laugh out loud moments but many sweet and heartwarming moments as well, not to mention their fiery passion! This is told from Max's pov but I love getting a glimpse of Henley's thoughts through her to-do list at the end of each chapter, they were brillant! Their family and friends all make appearances adding to the fun and setting the stage for upcoming stories that I can't wait to read! Sexy Shenanigans

Lauren Blakely has been a must-buy author for me since I took a chance on her very first book and her latest, Joy Ride, is a joy to read. It's a rom/com that's as thrilling as driving a new set of wheels off the car lot when all that passionate hate between former colleagues turns into the sexy banter and feisty flirtation that Lauren is already famous for. My favorite X-rated scene comes to a sudden and delicious climax with an O on the hood of a fabulous custom car. Now that's what I call a Joy Ride! The oh-so-sexy shenanigans between Lauren's newest couple is as entertaining as an adorable monkey's uncle and I really enjoyed the unexpected, but much appreciated, cameos by characters from some of her most successful romantic comedies. First off, let me just say that I LOVE Lauren's male-POV stories! I don't know how she does it, but she captures her reader's attention from page one, and takes them on an epic journey through the man's mind. My guess would be she knows sorcery...but hey *shrugs* I've been known to be wrong a time or two. Max....oh Max, Max, Max....you devilishly sexy grease monkey.! He is the ultimate man's man. Tough, rugged, with so much sex appeal I'm surprised he doesn't get bombarded with tons of fan mail containing women's underwear. HAVE MERCY, what that man can do with his "tools"! Both are stubborn, both are strong-willed and competitive, and both have lost their hearts completely to the other even though they don't realize it yet. A revving story!

Ooh the blurb of this book had reeled me in. Enemies to lovers stories are always fun and exciting so I couldn’t wait to dive in. Of course in true Lauren style, this was funny, sexy, and sweet. Max is the best mechanic and ride dresser in NYC. Henley used to be his apprentice but a job went wrong and Max had to fire her. Now years later, they ran into each other again. When they have to work side by side, how will these two fare? Oh my reading Max’s POV was hilarious. I couldn’t get enough of his thoughts. And the little snippets of Henley’s was also great. These two always had a thing for each other back in the day so in the present their interactions made for some interesting and fun times. I liked how Lauren built up the progression of their relationship. It was perfect for their story and the anticipation was fantastic. When these two finally got together, whew was it hot! All the years of suppressing their feelings came to a head and their intensity and over-the-top attraction was explosive. I loved the interactions and banter whenever they were together. I really enjoyed seeing how they affected each other and where things would go. It was a nice slow progression of everything and by the end, it was just magnificent. What I also love about a Lauren book is the appearances of her other characters and it was great to see the others in the series in Joy Ride. Overall, this was a great read. It was pleasant, fun, and scorching. It had amazing characters and a fantastic storyline. Lauren always has the best reads for me and this was no exception. A wonderful story.

I developed major crushes on both characters. You know, the typical reaction to a Blakely book. Gah! I am simply amazed how Lauren Blakely can rock our world time and time again. I am so addicted to her books!! Max Summers, the king of custom cars, partaker of one night stands, enjoyer of baths, is dedicated to being the best at what he does and doesn’t want anything to distract him. When his former apprentice - the smart, gorgeous, sassy Henley Marlowe - returns, Max discovers she has taken all her talents and fire to his biggest rival and is now competing for the same clients. An incredible opportunity arises when the producers of a new television show want to commission a customized Lamborghini Miura. The only thing is they want Max and Henley both to work on it. Forced to work together, their undeniable attraction towards each other is too hard to ignore. Their verbal sparing leading to some of the hottest moments ever! Oh my God! Lauren Blakely should have been a man! I LOVE her male POV books so hard and Joy Ride is certainly no different. I love a great muscle car and this book made me drool over the cars as much as I did Max. Max and Henley positively sizzle. Great characters, great read. Holy Hotness!! One of my favorite tropes is enemies to Lovers and Lauren really got my heart pumping with this one! Max is vying for the top spot in my heart right now, he may just be one of my favorite Blakely men! Sexy Car builder, intense fiery passion, hot hate/angry sex on the hood of a sleek and sexy sports car? Check. Check. And CHECK! Henley used to be Max's apprentice several years ago in his shop, she was hot headed but good. Max admired the way she handled herself in a 'mans field' restoring cars to their finest. She had fire, drive and that's what attracted her to him. He was attracted t her from the first day he met her, but would never cross that line since he was her boss, it was his job to teach her. She got under his skin, even then. Until she made a mistake and he fired her. Now, five years later, she's back in town. ***Henley Rose and a hot car go together like peaches and cream, like fine Scotch and a long, dirty night. Which means working with her was like walking into the Garden of Eden every single day. It was a test of willpower because the woman could craft a car as if it were an erotic dance. Not a striptease. Not an in-your-face pelvis thrust. But a beautiful f**king ballet of a woman seducing a machine. The story was so well written that I was glued to the pages, anticipating that blissful moment when all that heat, all that rage, all that wanting finally exploded and they gave into their attraction to each other. Definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves fast cars, sexy men and HOT sexy times! Blakey writes men's POV like no other and I bet you'll fall in love with Max and Henley just like I did!

It's no secret that I am a HUGE Lauren Blakely fan. I mean H-U-G-E! Anything this woman writes, I jump at the chance to read. Her heroes are swoon-worthy, her heroines are adorable and the stories are always sexy and beautiful. I've been addicted to her most recent rom-coms because they have just the right combination of heat and swoon alongside perfectly balanced, laugh-out-loud moments that are thoroughly entertaining. Joy Ride, Blakely's newest standalone within her male POV series gives readers everything they expect and then some. Max Summers is sexy, successful, great with his hands, has a rockin' body and has a filthy, filthy mouth. In other words, he is completely delectable and one hot, perfect male specimen! Then there's Henley Rose Marlowe, aka "Tiger". She is most definitely the yin to his yang. She's sexy, beautiful, funny, great with her hands, successful, quirky and isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Max. Their witty banter is thoroughly entertaining and will leave readers in stitches. What happens when these former co-workers and enemies are forced to work together again? Fireworks.....an intensely glorious display of fireworks that, once ignited, is unstoppable! Built to handle the toughest cars while being able to deliver the best fuel injections, stick shifts and combustion known to any woman, oops I mean customer. He is the owner of his own shop and fights to stay on top…….. Henley was Max’s apprentice 5 years ago when she shows up at a car show where she runs into Max. These two have explosive chemistry from the moment they met. The sexual banter back and forth had this reader needing to keep her fan on high to keep from overheating. Honestly if I could reach into the pages I would have b**ch slapped them both. They spent more time trying keep their emotions in check and not getting involved. Anyway, I’m not going to give anymore away. Hot cars, sexy as sin man and one fiery brunette is what you are going to get in this book. This is a love story through and through. I highly recommend this book it was fun, witty with some secrets. There isn’t a lot of drama which was refreshing and allowed me to just read and enjoy. I didn’t need my brain to work through all the scenarios. PLEASE READ!!!! This is one of my favorites.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Lauren Blakely has done it again. She has crafted a book so fun, so flirty, so sexy, and so absolutely perfect that it I *had* to devour it in just one sitting. Buckle up tight, readers, and prepare to go on one hell of an amazing ride with Max and Henley. Max, oh my Max. He is such a deliciously sexy hero. There is a little extra fierceness to him that I really, truly enjoyed. I loved watching him fight his attraction to Henley so hard-only to lose the battle so spectacularly. He's intensely passionate about his work and about his life in general. He works hard, he plays hard and watching him try to balance that with having feelings for Henley had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing this "guy's guy" maneuver his way through the twists and turns of falling in love? Priceless. Henley Rose is positively perfect. She's tough, yet sweet. Strong, but vulnerable at the same time. I appreciated how she hustled to make her own name for herself in a business that is clearly male dominated. I loved that she could go toe to toe with Max and hold her own-I love seeing strong female characters and nobody writes strong and sweet heroines like this author can. The way we get to see what Henley is thinking is unique and fun as well. The tension between Max and Henley had been idling for years while they were apart, humming below the surface, just waiting for one of them to finally hit the gas and go for it. Their playful banter, their game of innuendo had me torn between wanting them to finally be together and drawing out the tension even more. I must say that their first kiss was quite possibly the hottest, sexiest first kiss I've read....and the rest of their sexy times live up to that first kiss. The pace of this book is perfect. The writing is sharp, witty and at times perfectly dirty. There was a really fun twist in this book that had me laughing as well-but I'll let you figure that out when you read it. However, what this author does so incredibly well here (and in all of her books) is showcase the realness of a relationship. It's not all sex, all the time-not even in the honeymoon stage of the relationship. It's taking the time to take care of the person you love-whether that means spending time soaking in a claw foot tub or taking dance lessons together. It's making mistakes and learning from them and choosing to move past things instead of dwelling on them. This is a standalone book but it does have moments where other characters from previous books make an appearance. I personally love, love, love when the author does this. (You definitely don't need to have read the other books to understand who these characters are or anything...but I do recommend them all) Seeing Chase and Josie again made perfect sense since Chase is Max's brother but I was delighted to see other favorites as well-Nick, Harper, Natalie, Wyatt and Charlotte and Spencer. I couldn't have wiped the smile off my face when they reappeared if I wanted to-and I really, really didn't want to. This also gives us an opportunity to meet some future feature characters as well which is great. Joy Ride is an absolutely perfectly crafted book. Max Summers and Henley Rose are royalty in the custom car business but it's Lauren Blakely who is the Queen of hot, sexy, funny and flirty writers. This book proves again why she's a one click author for me. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I absolutely would.

Joy Ride was another funny read. I enjoyed the storyline of "enemies" to lovers. I loved Max and Henley's bickering and arguing and the game they play. Max is a great guy and I really liked being in his head. He has a bit of a soft side underneath his "big, brutish, bearish" side. Henley isn't as likable as Max, but she's still a good character. I like that she has her mechanic side as well as her girlie side. She's very strong and determined even when she's outnumbered in her field. All the Summer siblings together is a hoot as well.

Max Summers and Henley Marlowe have worked together previously. They have total respect for one another and both have a passion for cars and life. But, Henley works for Max’s competitor. The author takes you on a saucy story of these two admirable people. I highly recommend this and all books by Lauren Blakely.

I have always loved a good Lauren Blakey book, but I was so pleasantly surprised with Joy Ride. As a wife of a mechanic this book was perfection to read and the having it from the male POV was great and completely believable. The banter between characters was hilarious, the auto references were on point, and the romance scenes take you from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Excellent book!

Max and Henley, have a past. One that could not be easily forgotten. But it’s been years since they’ve seen each other. And the moment he sees her again. The world shifts, and he’s brought back into her world  What can I say? other than that I loved their story. They're both very hilarious together. They are both smart and confident. Henley is no weakling, she can’t be. In a profession that's mainly run by the male species.  I have to say that Lauren, is the Queen of Romantic Comedies. She has a way making it funny, emotional, and having sexual tension that just radiates off the pages. You become invested in these characters and you love what happens to them in the end.  I get excited whenever I know she’s having a new release. I know that, by now that I will absolutely love it and that it will not take very long to read. The writing style just catches you and never lets you go.  Overall, Of course, it’s Five Boundless Stars.

I am a huge fan of Lauren's and "Joy Ride" is no exception. I have been a fan of Max's but am so glad to read his story. Not wanting to give away any spoilers, I thoroughly enjoyed the tension between Max and Henley. Glad to see Mia, Chase and Josie, Wyatt and Natalie, Nick and Harper and Spencer and Charlotte. Lauren Blakey has done it again. Made me fall for Max, laugh out loud in parts and still have some really hot love scenes. These two people are so gone for each other and yet it takes them years to get together. Neither one had been in love before so it is really a journey they go through. Also love how Lauren weaves characters from her other books into this story. It's like visiting old friends. You will also go crazy for the cars too. I hate when these stories end!

A Review of Joy Ride by Lauren Blakely Definitely my kind of guilty pleasure - 5+++++ stars If you've read any of Ms. Blakely's other books, you will see several characters from other books, which I just LOVE. Max is the older brother of Chase, from Chase and Josie's story and they have a sister, Mia. Chase alluded to 'the one that got away' from Max so I was really happy to see him finally get his own story so we could learn more about him and his lady. As this book opens, Max is at a car show with one of his clients when a possible new client approaches him about his work. Henley happens to pop up in the middle of their conversation and Max learns that she is back in New York working for his major competitor. She worked as an apprentice for Max five years ago, but a mistake led to a reprimand, which led to an unfair accusation, which led to Max firing her. Can they finally admit to themselves that there was something between them back then? Henley wants to be respected in their field, which is mostly male oriented. She got her degree and has worked her butt off to make it to the top of her field. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and all the wonderful 'feels' that Ms. Blakely brings out in her characters. I'd love to have my own grease monkey if he looked like that! Can hardly wait to see who the next character to get a story will be. Lauren Blakely has been a must-buy author for me since I took a chance on her very first book and her latest, Joy Ride, is a joy to read. It's a rom/com that's as thrilling as driving a new set of wheels off the car lot when all that passionate hate between former colleagues turns into the sexy banter and feisty flirtation that Lauren is already famous for. My favorite X-rated scene comes to a sudden and delicious climax with an O on the hood of a fabulous custom car. Now that's what I call a Joy Ride! The oh-so-sexy shenanigans between Lauren's newest couple is as entertaining as an adorable monkey's uncle and I really enjoyed the unexpected, but much appreciated, cameos by characters from some of her most successful romantic comedies. A revving story!

Ooh the blurb of this book had reeled me in. Enemies to lovers stories are always fun and exciting so I couldn’t wait to dive in. Of course in true Lauren style, this was funny, sexy, and sweet. Max is the best mechanic and ride dresser in NYC. Henley used to be his apprentice but a job went wrong and Max had to fire her. Now years later, they ran into each other again. When they have to work side by side, how will these two fare? Oh my reading Max’s POV was hilarious. I couldn’t get enough of his thoughts. And the little snippets of Henley’s was also great. These two always had a thing for each other back in the day so in the present their interactions made for some interesting and fun times. I liked how Lauren built up the progression of their relationship. It was perfect for their story and the anticipation was fantastic. When these two finally got together, whew was it hot! All the years of suppressing their feelings came to a head and their intensity and over-the-top attraction was explosive. I loved the interactions and banter whenever they were together. I really enjoyed seeing how they affected each other and where things would go. It was a nice slow progression of everything and by the end, it was just magnificent. What I also love about a Lauren book is the appearances of her other characters and it was great to see the others in the series in Joy Ride. Overall, this was a great read. It was pleasant, fun, and scorching. It had amazing characters and a fantastic storyline. Lauren always has the best reads for me and this was no exception. A wonderful story.

When his former apprentice - the smart, gorgeous, sassy Henley Marlowe - returns, Max discovers she has taken all her talents and fire to his biggest rival and is now competing for the same clients. An incredible opportunity arises when the producers of a new television show want to commission a customized Lamborghini Miura. The only thing is they want Max and Henley both to work on it. Holy Hotness!! One of my favorite tropes is enemies to Lovers and Lauren really got my heart pumping with this one! Max is vying for the top spot in my heart right now, he may just be one of my favorite Blakely men! Sexy Car builder, intense fiery passion, hot hate/angry sex on the hood of a sleek and sexy sports car? Check. Check. And CHECK! Henley used to be Max's apprentice several years ago in his shop, she was hot headed but good. Max admired the way she handled herself in a 'mans field' restoring cars to their finest. She had fire, drive and that's what attracted her to him. He was attracted t her from the first day he met her, but would never cross that line since he was her boss, it was his job to teach her. She got under his skin, even then. Until she made a mistake and he fired her. Now, five years later, she's back in town. ***Henley Rose and a hot car go together like peaches and cream, like fine Scotch and a long, dirty night. Which means working with her was like walking into the Garden of Eden every single day. It was a test of willpower because the woman could craft a car as if it were an erotic dance. Not a striptease. It's no secret that I am a HUGE Lauren Blakely fan. I mean H-U-G-E! Anything this woman writes, I jump at the chance to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Lauren Blakely has done it again. She has crafted a book so fun, so flirty, so sexy, and so absolutely perfect that it I *had* to devour it in just one sitting. Buckle up tight, readers, and prepare to go on one hell of an amazing ride with Max and Henley. Max, oh my Max. He is such a deliciously sexy hero. There is a little extra fierceness to him that I really, truly enjoyed. I loved watching him fight his attraction to Henley so hard-only to lose the battle so spectacularly. He's intensely passionate about his work and about his life in general. He works hard, he plays hard and watching him try to balance that with having feelings for Henley had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing this "guy's guy" maneuver his way through the twists and turns of falling in love? Priceless. Henley Rose is positively perfect. She's tough, yet sweet. Strong, but vulnerable at the same time. I appreciated how she hustled to make her own name for herself in a business that is clearly male dominated. I loved that she could go toe to toe with Max and hold her own-I love seeing strong female characters and nobody writes strong and sweet heroines like this author can. The way we get to see what Henley is thinking is unique and fun as well. The tension between Max and Henley had been idling for years while they were apart, humming below the surface, just waiting for one of them to finally hit the gas and go for it. Their playful banter, their game of innuendo had me torn between wanting them to finally be together and drawing out the tension even more. I must say that their first kiss was quite possibly the hottest, sexiest first kiss I've read....and the rest of their sexy times live up to that first kiss. The pace of this book is perfect. The writing is sharp, witty and at times perfectly dirty. There was a really fun twist in this book that had me laughing as well-but I'll let you figure that out when you read it. However, what this author does so incredibly well here (and in all of her books) is showcase the realness of a relationship. It's not all sex, all the time-not even in the honeymoon stage of the relationship. It's taking the time to take care of the person you love-whether that means spending time soaking in a claw foot tub or taking dance lessons together. It's making mistakes and learning from them and choosing to move past things instead of dwelling on them. This is a standalone book but it does have moments where other characters from previous books make an appearance. I personally love, love, love when the author does this. (You definitely don't need to have read the other books to understand who these characters are or anything...but I do recommend them all) Seeing Chase and Josie again made perfect sense since Chase is Max's brother but I was delighted to see other favorites as well-Nick, Harper, Natalie, Wyatt and Charlotte and Spencer. I couldn't have wiped the smile off my face when they reappeared if I wanted to-and I really, really didn't want to. This also gives us an opportunity to meet some future feature characters as well which is great. Joy Ride is an absolutely perfectly crafted book. Max Summers and Henley Rose are royalty in the custom car business but it's Lauren Blakely who is the Queen of hot, sexy, funny and flirty writers. This book proves again why she's a one click author for me. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I absolutely would.

Joy Ride was another funny read. I enjoyed the storyline of "enemies" to lovers. I loved Max and Henley's bickering and arguing and the game they play. Max is a great guy and I really liked being in his head. He has a bit of a soft side underneath his "big, brutish, bearish" side. Henley isn't as likable as Max, but she's still a good character. I like that she has her mechanic side as well as her girlie side. She's very strong and determined even when she's outnumbered in her field. All the Summer siblings together is a hoot as well.

Max Summers and Henley Marlowe have worked together previously. They have total respect for one another and both have a passion for cars and life. But, Henley works for Max’s competitor. The author takes you on a saucy story of these two admirable people. I highly recommend this and all books by Lauren Blakely.

Sexy to sizzling in 3.5 seconds!

I have always loved a good Lauren Blakey book, but I was so pleasantly surprised with Joy Ride. As a wife of a mechanic this book was perfection to read and the having it from the male POV was great and completely believable. The banter between characters was hilarious, the auto references were on point, and the romance scenes take you from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Excellent book!

Max and Henley, have a past. One that could not be easily forgotten. But it’s been years since they’ve seen each other. And the moment he sees her again. The world shifts, and he’s brought back into her world  What can I say? other than that I loved their story. They're both very hilarious together. They are both smart and confident. Henley is no weakling, she can’t be. In a profession that's mainly run by the male species.  I have to say that Lauren, is the Queen of Romantic Comedies. She has a way making it funny, emotional, and having sexual tension that just radiates off the pages. You become invested in these characters and you love what happens to them in the end.  I get excited whenever I know she’s having a new release. I know that, by now that I will absolutely love it and that it will not take very long to read. The writing style just catches you and never lets you go.  Overall, Of course, it’s Five Boundless Stars.

Lauren Blakey has done it again. Made me fall for Max, laugh out loud in parts and still have some really hot love scenes. These two people are so gone for each other and yet it takes them years to get together. Neither one had been in love before so it is really a journey they go through. Also love how Lauren weaves characters from her other books into this story. It's like visiting old friends. You will also go crazy for the cars too. I hate when these stories end!

A Review of Joy Ride by Lauren Blakely Definitely my kind of guilty pleasure - 5+++++ stars If you've read any of Ms. Blakely's other books, you will see several characters from other books, which I just LOVE. Max is the older brother of Chase, from Chase and Josie's story and they have a sister, Mia. Chase alluded to 'the one that got away' from Max so I was really happy to see him finally get his own story so we could learn more about him and his lady. As this book opens, Max is at a car show with one of his clients when a possible new client approaches him about his work. Henley happens to pop up in the middle of their conversation and Max learns that she is back in New York working for his major competitor. She worked as an apprentice for Max five years ago, but a mistake led to a reprimand, which led to an unfair accusation, which led to Max firing her. Can they finally admit to themselves that there was something between them back then? Henley wants to be respected in their field, which is mostly male oriented. She got her degree and has worked her butt off to make it to the top of her field. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and all the wonderful 'feels' that Ms. Blakely brings out in her characters. I'd love to have my own grease monkey if he looked like that! Can hardly wait to see who the next character to get a story will be. Lauren Blakely has been a must-buy author for me since I took a chance on her very first book and her latest, Joy Ride, is a joy to read. It's a rom/com that's as thrilling as driving a new set of wheels off the car lot when all that passionate hate between former colleagues turns into the sexy banter and feisty flirtation that Lauren is already famous for. My favorite X-rated scene comes to a sudden and delicious climax with an O on the hood of a fabulous custom car. Now that's what I call a Joy Ride! The oh-so-sexy shenanigans between Lauren's newest couple is as entertaining as an adorable monkey's uncle and I really enjoyed the unexpected, but much appreciated, cameos by characters from some of her most successful romantic comedies. A revving story!

Ooh the blurb of this book had reeled me in. Enemies to lovers stories are always fun and exciting so I couldn’t wait to dive in. Of course in true Lauren style, this was funny, sexy, and sweet. Max is the best mechanic and ride dresser in NYC. Henley used to be his apprentice but a job went wrong and Max had to fire her. Now years later, they ran into each other again. When they have to work side by side, how will these two fare? Oh my reading Max’s POV was hilarious. I couldn’t get enough of his thoughts. And the little snippets of Henley’s was also great. These two always had a thing for each other back in the day so in the present their interactions made for some interesting and fun times. I liked how Lauren built up the progression of their relationship. It was perfect for their story and the anticipation was fantastic. When these two finally got together, whew was it hot! All the years of suppressing their feelings came to a head and their intensity and over-the-top attraction was explosive. I loved the interactions and banter whenever they were together. I really enjoyed seeing how they affected each other and where things would go. It was a nice slow progression of everything and by the end, it was just magnificent. What I also love about a Lauren book is the appearances of her other characters and it was great to see the others in the series in Joy Ride. Overall, this was a great read. It was pleasant, fun, and scorching. It had amazing characters and a fantastic storyline. Lauren always has the best reads for me and this was no exception. A wonderful story.

I developed major crushes on both characters. You know, the typical reaction to a Blakely book. Gah! I am simply amazed how Lauren Blakely can rock our world time and time again. I am so addicted to her books!! Max Summers, the king of custom cars, partaker of one night stands, enjoyer of baths, is dedicated to being the best at what he does and doesn’t want anything to distract him. When his former apprentice - the smart, gorgeous, sassy Henley Marlowe - returns, Max discovers she has taken all her talents and fire to his biggest rival and is now competing for the same clients. An incredible opportunity arises when the producers of a new television show want to commission a customized Lamborghini Miura. The only thing is they want Max and Henley both to work on it. Forced to work together, their undeniable attraction towards each other is too hard to ignore. Their verbal sparing leading to some of the hottest moments ever! Oh my God! Holy Hotness!! One of my favorite tropes is enemies to Lovers and Lauren really got my heart pumping with this one! Max is vying for the top spot in my heart right now, he may just be one of my favorite Blakely men! Sexy Car builder, intense fiery passion, hot hate/angry sex on the hood of a sleek and sexy sports car? Check. Check. And CHECK! Henley used to be Max's apprentice several years ago in his shop, she was hot headed but good. Max admired the way she handled herself in a 'mans field' restoring cars to their finest. She had fire, drive and that's what attracted her to him. He was attracted t her from the first day he met her, but would never cross that line since he was her boss, it was his job to teach her. She got under his skin, even then. Until she made a mistake and he fired her. Now, five years later, she's back in town. ***Henley Rose and a hot car go together like peaches and cream, like fine Scotch and a long, dirty night. Which means working with her was like walking into the Garden of Eden every single day. It was a test of willpower because the woman could craft a car as if it were an erotic dance. Not a striptease. It's no secret that I am a HUGE Lauren Blakely fan. I mean H-U-G-E! Anything this woman writes, I jump at the chance to read. Then there's Henley Rose Marlowe, aka "Tiger". She is most definitely the yin to his yang. She's sexy, beautiful, funny, great with her hands, successful, quirky and isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Max. Their witty banter is thoroughly entertaining and will leave readers in stitches. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Lauren Blakely has done it again. She has crafted a book so fun, so flirty, so sexy, and so absolutely perfect that it I *had* to devour it in just one sitting. Buckle up tight, readers, and prepare to go on one hell of an amazing ride with Max and Henley. Max, oh my Max. He is such a deliciously sexy hero. There is a little extra fierceness to him that I really, truly enjoyed. I loved watching him fight his attraction to Henley so hard-only to lose the battle so spectacularly. He's intensely passionate about his work and about his life in general. He works hard, he plays hard and watching him try to balance that with having feelings for Henley had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing this "guy's guy" maneuver his way through the twists and turns of falling in love? Priceless. Henley Rose is positively perfect. She's tough, yet sweet. Strong, but vulnerable at the same time. I appreciated how she hustled to make her own name for herself in a business that is clearly male dominated. I loved that she could go toe to toe with Max and hold her own-I love seeing strong female characters and nobody writes strong and sweet heroines like this author can. The way we get to see what Henley is thinking is unique and fun as well. The tension between Max and Henley had been idling for years while they were apart, humming below the surface, just waiting for one of them to finally hit the gas and go for it. Their playful banter, their game of innuendo had me torn between wanting them to finally be together and drawing out the tension even more. I must say that their first kiss was quite possibly the hottest, sexiest first kiss I've read....and the rest of their sexy times live up to that first kiss. The pace of this book is perfect. The writing is sharp, witty and at times perfectly dirty. There was a really fun twist in this book that had me laughing as well-but I'll let you figure that out when you read it. However, what this author does so incredibly well here (and in all of her books) is showcase the realness of a relationship. It's not all sex, all the time-not even in the honeymoon stage of the relationship. It's taking the time to take care of the person you love-whether that means spending time soaking in a claw foot tub or taking dance lessons together. It's making mistakes and learning from them and choosing to move past things instead of dwelling on them. This is a standalone book but it does have moments where other characters from previous books make an appearance. I personally love, love, love when the author does this. (You definitely don't need to have read the other books to understand who these characters are or anything...but I do recommend them all) Seeing Chase and Josie again made perfect sense since Chase is Max's brother but I was delighted to see other favorites as well-Nick, Harper, Natalie, Wyatt and Charlotte and Spencer. I couldn't have wiped the smile off my face when they reappeared if I wanted to-and I really, really didn't want to. This also gives us an opportunity to meet some future feature characters as well which is great. Joy Ride is an absolutely perfectly crafted book. Max Summers and Henley Rose are royalty in the custom car business but it's Lauren Blakely who is the Queen of hot, sexy, funny and flirty writers. This book proves again why she's a one click author for me. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I absolutely would.
